ITS World Congress in Dubai, was the premier event for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Organised by ERTICO and hosted by RTA, this Congress united professionals from mobility, technology, and policy sectors to discuss and showcase advancements in smart mobility. The 30th ITS World Congress took place on 16-20.09.2024,  in Dubai World Trade Centre, United Arab Emirates.

With up to 20,000 attendees, 170 sessions, 650 international speakers, and over 300 exhibitors, the event included plenary sessions, technical sessions, exhibitions, and demonstrations. The attendees had the chance to explore sustainable mobility, innovative technologies, and Dubai’s commitment to smart city initiatives.

DELPHI project was presented by Mr. John Kanellopoulos , from ICCS, (DELPHI’s coordinator) in the Special Interest session “SIS 85 Advanced multimodal network and traffic management: the latest advances of EU research“.

The session was moderated by Mr. Evangelos Mitsakis from Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH)-HIT, coordinator of the SYNCHROMODE Project.

Among the presenters were also Mr. Trond Hovland, Mr. Pol Torres, Mr. Tiago Dias, Mr. Charalampos Sipetas, and Mr. Dimitris Tzanis, who delivered presentations on the challenges, innovative concepts, solutions, and outcomes in the field of multimodal traffic management.

Their insights were drawn from the achievements of several research projects, including the SYNCHROMODE Project, ACUMEN Project, DELPHI project, Orchestra2020 and FRONTIER EU Project.

The projects are funded under the Horizon Europe Framework Programme, managed by CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency and they are part of the Multimodal Traffic Management Cluster.
