On 18 June 2026, the DELPHI Project successfully concluded its three-year journey with its Final Event, hosted at the Historic Patision Complex of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). The event brought together project partners, policymakers, transport experts, industry representatives, and key stakeholders to reflect on the project’s achievements and discuss the future of multimodal transport in Europe.
The event was opened by Dr. Angelos Amditis, DELPHI Project Coordinator and Research and Development Director at ICCS–NTUA, who highlighted the project’s vision, major accomplishments, and lasting impact on the development of innovative, integrated, and sustainable multimodal transport solutions. Throughout the day, consortium partners presented the project’s technological developments, pilot demonstrations, and key results, showcasing how DELPHI’s solutions address real-world mobility and traffic management challenges across Europe. Τhe full agenda is available here.
A key highlight of the event was the roundtable discussion on “Challenges and Future Needs in Traffic Management,” which brought together leading experts and practitioners to exchange perspectives on the future of urban mobility. The discussion concluded that while advanced data and digital tools are increasingly available, their successful deployment depends on establishing strong collaboration frameworks built on governance, interoperability, and trust among all stakeholders.
Participants also had the opportunity to explore the project’s pilot demonstrations through dedicated presentations and videos, illustrating how DELPHI has validated innovative multimodal transport concepts in real operational environments. End-user perspectives further highlighted the practical benefits and future potential of the project’s solutions for creating more efficient, connected, and sustainable transport systems.
Over the past three years, DELPHI has united 18 partners from across Europe around a common vision: transforming multimodal transport through digital innovation, data sharing, and collaborative mobility solutions. The Final Event celebrated not only the project’s achievements but also the strong partnerships established throughout its implementation and the foundations laid for future collaboration and innovation in sustainable mobility.
The DELPHI consortium would like to sincerely thank all partners, speakers, stakeholders, and participants whose commitment and collaboration have contributed to the project’s success. While the project has officially concluded, its results, technologies, and lessons learnt will continue to support the transition towards smarter, more connected, and more sustainable multimodal transport across Europe.
